**What you’ll be doing**

BWB Consulting have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Technician to join our Building and Built Environment Structures team in Manchester.
- Working as part of an ambitious, growing team you will be expected to provide hands on structural design support for a wide variety of exciting projects across all sectors and ranging from mixed-use high-rise developments to huge distribution warehouses.
- The role of a Technician is to undertake work necessary to assist Engineers in their duties. These duties will include working under supervision to assist the delivery of project technical drawings and information. The role includes administrative supportincluding the collation of reports and drawings and maintenance of quality assurance tracking procedures.
- Technicians are required to work under limited supervision. It is expected that Technicians will take greater responsibility for their own development and learning, as well as support the development of other team members.
- A Technician will be required to comply with Company procedures and with health and safety environmental regulations.
- A Technician is expected to adopt a professional approach at all times.

**What you’ll bring**
- Previous experience as a structural technician and will be able to demonstrate their ability to work to personally set deadlines, with supervision.
- To be able to demonstrate strong communication and personal effectiveness skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Whilst qualifications are important, skills and attributes such as problem-solving, communication, personal organization, team working skills and the ability to work under pressure are sought above all else.
- The role will also assist in the mentoring of our apprentice technicians which will be a key part of the role.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of Revit is essential and AutoCAD is desirable.
- A solid track record in pragmatic and technical detailing and understanding of all types of structure.
- Ability to work under pressure within a team and autonomously with good personal organization.
- Pride in the quality and accuracy of your work.
- The ability to demonstrable enthusiasm, ambition and a willingness to learn.
