The RISE Trust Children’s Centres deliver services to support families with children under five, to improve outcomes for families and have a positive impact on their lives.

The post holder will effectively manage a RISE Children’s Centre locality, overseeing the development and delivery of services that meet the needs of target families and to ‘Narrow the Gap’ in children’s learning and development, in line with Local Authority arrangements. This will include targeted support through group work and one to one interventions.

**Lead Responsibility**:
The post holder will work strategically with the Chief Executive Officer and senior managers to ensure the effective and high-quality delivery of The RISE Trust services across Chippenham, Corsham and Malmesbury areas to ensure that all families have their needs met.

**Key Task List**:
1. To lead, manage and develop The RISE Trust’s staff through the appraisal and supervision process, and be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Children’s Centre localities including outreach sites and services delivered within the community.

2. Responsible for effective delivery of Children’s centre services, Outreach services and safeguarding within budget across Chippenham, Corsham and Malmesbury areas.

3. To lead planning, delivery and evaluation of all services, using performance management to ensure they remain effective in meeting local need.

4. To effectively deploy staff to cases, courses and services to meet the needs of the children and their family.

5. To ensure that base lining, tracking and follow-up of families can evidence the outcomes and positive impact of The RISE Trust’s services.

6. To ensure team members and professional partners are aware of the aims and actions within the North Wiltshire Children’s Centre Service Action Plan and The RISE Trust Business Plan, regularly reviewing progress.

7. To collect and collate local evidence and data for Local Authority OFSTED Inspections, Annual and Quarterly Reviews, national audits, Advisory Boards etc.

8. To work in partnership with key agencies and community forums in order to effectively achieve the outcomes in the four priority areas. These include Health Professionals, Social Care, Schools, Settings, MAF, Adult and Community Learning, Jobcentre Plus and other community organisations.

9. To lead on implementing safeguarding policy and practice in the locality by completing case reviews and case supervisions to ensure that all staff provide robust safeguarding protocols.

10. To be responsible for the overall Health and Safety of service users and staff, in line with The RISE Trust’s Policies and Procedures including ensuring proper security arrangements are in place for all premises in the locality.

11. To ensure high standards of maintenance throughout The RISE Trust’s buildings and locations, to include the monitoring of contractors and suppliers where necessary and daily oversight of all property maintenance issues ensuring any remedial work or issues are dealt with efficiently.

**Job Activities - Standard Terms Common to all Job Descriptions**

1. To work within the RISE Trust’s Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy because safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare is a priority in all aspects of the Trust’s Delivery Plans. Any safeguarding concerns should be immediately reported to the Chief Executive of The RISE Trust using the Trust’s alert process.

2. To undertake any other reasonable duties which are commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post as directed by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the objectives for the Children’s Centre operational plans. The RISE Children’s Centre exists to respond to the needs of individuals, consequently many of the tasks and responsibilities are unpredictable and varied. It is therefore expected that all staff will work in a flexible, resilient and confidential manner when required, undertaking tasks that have not been specifically covered in their job description.
