Search have partnered with a large FTSE listed organisation who are looking for a hands-on, commercially focused Finance Business Partner. You will be an experienced finance lead within a large multi-million-pound operation, supporting both the FinancialController and the Senior Leadership Teams on-site to deliver key financial objectives. As a trusted business partner, you will contribute to strategic decision making, challenging processes and operational management to drive improvement, maximise profitability and limit risk. Key Responsibilities of the role: - Provide insight to Senior Management Team (SMT) in understanding management data and the key business drivers and business risk in their respective areas - Assist in delivering financial performance whilst constructively challenging the SMT to understand and manage their cost base - Analyse the monthly management accounts data alongside the key operational statistics to support the financial reporting provided by the SSC - Provide insightful commentary to support and explain the month-end numbers and variances - Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budget and bridges to forecast, budget and prior year to explain, demonstrate and understand the key variances to the actuals submitted - Contribute effectively to the development of the business plan, alongside the SMT and Financial Controller - Critically review and support preparation of Capital Investment proposals, and participate in post-implementation reviews for both strategic and routine investments - Provide analysis and recommendations to drive cost reduction initiatives, whilst recognizing opportunities to create benefits - Cultivate a detailed system understanding to be able to interrogate the financial numbers - Develop a detailed understanding of the Group Accounting Policies and Governance requirements, maintaining robust internal controls & supporting the business to ensure compliance - Fully qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA equivalent qualification or qualified by experience - Exceptional Stakeholder management with the ability to effectively tailor communication to your audience - Track record of delivering results under demanding deadlines - Ability to influence - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive action from analysis - The ability to maintain oversight whilst drilling down into the detail - Inquisitive with a solution focused mindset and a "can do" attitude - Manufacturing background advantageous but not essential - Experience of using an ERP and other bolt-on systems, preferably SAP
