Finance Assistant

Atkinson Moss is delighted to be supporting a really interesting business based North Norwich as they look to appoint a Finance Assistant. Working as part of a close knit team with huge opportunity learn from the experience and knowledge the team hold.
Key duties will include:
- Provide assistance in the monthly preparation of the management accounts. Including prepayments, accruals and control account reconciliations. Ensuring that the group strict timescales are met.
- Provide assistance where required to the Head of Finance for the maintenance and oversight remote entity.
- Administration and oversight of monthly and weekly payroll with outsourced provider
- Being first point of contact for payroll provider and maintaining service agreements.
- Being responsible for weekly and monthly pension uploads. Including monthly reconciliations to the accounting system.
- Provide labour costings for uploading into the accounting system
- Purchase ledger duties. Including invoice posting and account reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asst registers and posting depreciation, disposals and addition adjustments on a timely basis.
- Oversee the petty cash and credit card monthly reconciliations. Ensuring these have been completed on a timely basis
- Payroll experience preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of Microsoft excel
- Experience of SAP is preferred but not essential
- To have high standards and capacity for open critical analysis of present and proposed activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to respond to deadlines and pressure.
- Ability to manage change, bring in new ideas and deal effectively with issues.
- Self-motivated and have positive ambitions.
- Proactive and uses own initiative
- Good team working skills, with an open and flexible manner.
