**Job Specification**

Cloud 9 Floatation is Buckinghamshire’s only dedicated floatation centre. We are looking to grow the team, specifically, we are looking for a ‘Float Host’ to work at our Beaconsfield centre.

**Responsibilities**

A Float Host will facilitate the day to day running of the centre:

- Opening up the centre in the morning
- Checking the floatation pods to ensure customer safety and general maintenance of the pods at all times
- Preparing both treatment rooms for customers
- Cleaning the treatment rooms after each booking: o Mopping the floors o Sanitizing the pods, showers and other touch areas o Cleaning the shower screens, valves and floor trays o Replacing towels o Hoover the floor
- Answering phone calls
- Taking bookings and payments, both new and existing customers
- Dealing with walk in customers
- Washing of towels each evening
- General cleaning of the centre
- Social media content contribution
- Closing up the centre at the end of the day
- Any other relevant business tasks

**Employment type**

The role is part time, **3** days a week, based on availability and bookings.
This may grow to a full time position in the future.

Our state-of-the-art floatation centre is based in Beaconsfield,
Buckinghamshire. We have designed our centre to ensure all visitors feel special and relaxed from the moment they walk in the door.

Since opening in June 2021, we have seen month on month revenue growth, via both new and returning customers. We now have a number of monthly members as well as contracts with local sports teams, businesses and Thames Valley Police.

**Salary**

£10 per hour, based on an 11 hour day. £110 per day. £330 per week.
£1,430 gross per month, plus benefits. Wages are paid each calendar month.

**Specialisation**

This role is unique in regards to the requirement for someone who can handle periods of focus / quiet working when customers are in treatment.
This time can be used to study, read or work on administrative tasks.
When customers are floating, noise must be kept to a minimum in reception.

Customers float for 60 minutes typically and there can be up to a maximum of 6 double bookings per day or 12 single sessions.

- IT Skills, (to use our online booking system, take payments and general IT tasks)
- Maturity to work alone and deal with periods of quiet
- Driving license or ability to commute to Beaconsfield (parking available)
- Social Media management knowledge and or experience

**Qualifications**

**Industry**

Floatation therapy uses a combination of water and Epsom salts, simulating the feeling of weightlessness and pure calm.

Our float pods are the same size as a car so provide plenty of room to stretch out, either with the lid open or shut. The water in each pod contains over half a tonne of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate), allowing you to float effortlessly, similar to the Dead Sea.

The temperature of the water matches that of your skin and the floating time is typically 60 minutes but we offer other times too. Each session includes additional time after to shower and change so please allow up to
80 minutes for each visit.

After the induction process, the treatment room door will be locked and customers are left in peace during their session. Music will play for the first 10 minutes and again for the final 5 minutes. Alternatively, music can play throughout the float.
