We are looking for experienced senior residential support workers in Uttoxeter for a 4 bed children’s home that looks after young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and Learning Disabilities and the associated behaviours that challenge. This is a full-time permanent role and the salary is a £40,000 which = £20.83 per hour, then £55 per sleep-in which is an extra £6,600 per year.
The home is situated 17 miles from Stoke, 15 miles from Stafford, 12 miles from Ashbourne and 13 miles from Burton on Trent.

Located in a quiet residential area within a well-connected market town in Staffordshire, our new four-bedroom children’s home provides a safe, warm, and thoughtfully designed space for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and learning disabilities (LD).
The home sits in a peaceful neighbourhood with nearby parks, schools, and community facilities, offering a sense of stability and belonging while maintaining privacy and security for the young people in our care.
Inside, the property blends modern comfort with homely character. A large, open kitchen and dining space encourages shared routines such as cooking and eating together, while two living areas offer both a social hub and a quieter space for reflection. The interior design has been carefully chosen to promote calm, familiarity, and wellbeing.
Each young person has their own spacious bedroom, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences, with opportunities for personalisation and privacy. An additional therapeutic room provides a quiet, comfortable space for one-on-one sessions or self-regulation.
**About Bayleaf Care**
Bayleaf Care provides exceptional care for children and young people across the UK, especially those who have faced trauma. We use the PACE model, which creates a safe, caring environment to help children feel secure and build positive relationships.
Our approach starts with the key worker, who forms a strong, trusting bond with the child. This relationship is essential for the child’s development and continues throughout their care.
We offer personalized care, education, and treatment led by a team of trained professionals, helping children manage their emotions and behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.
We currently have 3 children’s homes open, with another home due to open by late spring and a further 2 homes opening by Autumn.
Each children’s home has their own permanent on-site therapist and a pool car.
**Job overview**:
The role of a senior residential support worker is lead the team of residential workers on shift by offering support and guidance. To provide 24-hour care and support to the young people in our care.
The increased salary of £20.83p per hour reflect the challenging young people we will accommodate. Sleep-ins are paid at £55
Total salary is £46,600 which is based on an average of 160 hours per calendar month, plus there is the opportunity to do overtime at any of the other children’s homes.
There are waking night staff, but the seniors will be expected to sleep-in every shift, approximately 10 times per month.
The shift pattern is 1 day on 2 days off
Shifts start at 7am to 11pm, sleep-ins are 11pm to 7am, finish 7.30am after handover.
