Area Team Leader

An excellent opportunity has arisen with City of York Council for an experienced Area Repairs Team Leader to join the team who manage the Repairs and Maintenance Service, whilst providing an excellent level of customer service.
The team carry out repairs and maintenance to the Council’s 7800 domestic properties plus a number of other properties. This is an exciting time to join the team as we embark on a programme of change.
You will be able take the lead on projects and effectively manage a team of skilled trades people whilst being able to cope with the changing demands of this role.
- An HNC Building qualification or a relevant qualification at Level 3 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework, such as A levels, Award, Certificate or Diploma at level 3 or equivalent.
- Proven awareness and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and management, and a valid Health and Safety qualification such as SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent.
This role is suitable as a job sharing opportunity.
