- Has good numeracy and literacy skills
- has the ability to maintain and develop good relations between home, school, church and the wider community
- Has commitment and a sense of humour
- Has good working knowledge of supporting pupil inclusion
- Can work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
- Has experience of working in a primary school, and supporting teaching and learning activities for groups or classes of children under the supervision of the class teacher.
