**Why this job matters**
- Supports the wider engagement function in ensuring that all business demand through engagement leads and passport is triaged and supported from the security consultancy pool
- Supports the drive of a federated approach to 1st line security by empowering the business to act for itself with guidance from Security.
- Supports the focus on early engagement into strategic capabilities with a goal to build security patterns and guidance in support of the goals of Guide, Trust, Verify by having the guidance ready when capabilities are consumed by individual projects

**What I’ll be doing - your accountabilities**
- Supports the engagement function and wider security colleagues in ensuring that all demand is triaged, prioritised and managed into the correct teams in alignment with Guide, Trust, Verify adoption.
- Responsible for providing guidance on adoption of patterns and advice to assist triage and placement of work within wider business rather than needing allocation to consultancy teams
- Responsible for developing their own knowledge across all domains of security to support triage activities and their own development pathway
- Responsible for operating of process within the engagement function and how this interacts with other parts of the wider organisation to proactively identify improvements and tracking resolution

**Skills required for the job**
- Some background in Security or decent capability in the IT space
- A strong ability work on own initiative, prioritise and manage customer expectations
- An ability to demonstrate an open-minded attitude, objectivity and confidence to provide a consultancy-based service
- Degree qualification preferred. Also a path from apprenticeship role.
