Royal Voluntary Service cafés, shops and trolleys in hospitals, leisure centres and other locations are part of the fabric of the charity and a real asset in their own right. **The Role**
Working alongside a friendly team and supporting the Manager, you will participate in the day-to-day running of our retail outlet in Royal Bolton Hospital.
Promoting the provision of outstanding customer service, you will oversee the co-ordination of volunteers and staff. You will also provide cover for the Manager during periods of absence or leave.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist in the achievement of sales budget and cost control
- Deliver friendly, helpful and efficient customer service
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Help to train and develop team members
**Working Hours**
This is a permanent, full-time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
**What you’ll need**
Working in a hospital requires a special kind of customer service. Your ability to communicate with a variety of people in a friendly and cheerful way will make a real difference to someone’s day. The key is to adapt your approach to each person to ensure theirneeds are met.
- Experience at supervisory level within a similar retail environment
- Experience and knowledge of general administrative processes
- Knowledge of EPOS systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to proficiently use standard IT systems
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
