As our **Industrial Designer, **you’ll play a critical role in the product design process, supporting developing, facilitating, and executing design projects from inception to completion as well as being responsible for communicating with and coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders and departments within and outside of the organisation.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve participating in the new product development and design review process. Execute designs related to product strategies identified in the 36-month NPD pipeline. Your role will also include:

- Interpret, organise, and execute the conceptual design of an assigned product or project.
- Utilise creative and technical ability to meet project objectives and balance key considerations including aesthetics, function, cost, process, and time to market.
- Determine appropriate approaches to concept development by executing design research, product concept drawings, and product presentations.
- Demonstrate understanding of the target consumer, so that functional, aesthetic, and cost needs and objectives are incorporated into the design process.
- Initiate, develop and maintain strong relationships with primary resources and internal partners (branding, merchandising, manufacturing, marketing communications, sample & display) to efficiently bring products through the development process.
- Collaborate with the project team, and manufacturing partners to identify opportunities, solve design issues, and preserve design intent throughout the project balancing technical and commercial constraints with pace.
- Maintain current awareness of consumer and competitor product offerings including product design trends in both the UK and other markets.
- Communicates effectively with leadership on an ongoing basis, providing an overview of progress against assigned objectives, identifying any outstanding issues or concerns, and identifying action plans for effective execution to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of development and launch responsibilities.

For this role, we need someone who has at least 8 years or more experience of being in an Industrial Designer position; ideally in a commercial product development environment and with design consultant experience but this isn’t essential. Someone with a strong portfolio that shows your creative capabilities and an advanced understanding of the design process. With experience in 2D, 3D, and rendering software; exceptional design sketching skills, form-giving, high-quality rendering, and advanced 3D modelling; experience with prototyping, materials, and manufacturing processes within product development. Someone with strong communication skills, with the ability to build and communicate design narratives and rationales
