- Duties & Responsibilities
- Purpose- Responsible for the assisting of day-to-day NDT Operations, including the management of staff, planning, and scheduling of work. Within the Stockton facility.- Functions- ESSENTIAL- Support Project Managers, Branch Supervisors and Coordinators in day-to-day operational requirements.
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling sales forecast, scheduling expenditures.
- Support regular internal and external audits of the companies NDT services, and personnel.
- Monitor Operational Department to ensure the provision of systems of work which are so far as reasonably safe, and without risk to health or the environment.
- Promote high morale, communicate the company’s operating policies, customer issues and safety measures.
- Display excellent customer service to all clients and ensure they are receiving top quality work.

NON-ESSENTIAL
- Identifying opportunities to utilize new/improved technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy of NDT inspection.- Preparing and verifying the technical adequacy of procedures and work instructions, including development, approval, and continuous improvement.- Assist in the preparation of bid/tender documents and quotations.- Performing HR duties such as recruiting, selecting, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining employees.- Assist in the ongoing development of technicians, supervisors, coordinators, and office personnel.
- Monitor the use of equipment and consumables to minimize wastage and losses to ensure maximum utilization.
- The list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and you maybe required to undertake task’s that are of a reasonable nature for the post.
- Safety- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.- Other- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
- Qualifications
- REQUIRED- Good educational background
- Thorough knowledge of NDT
- At least 5 years’ experience within an NDT environment
- Experience in an operational management role
- Good negotiating skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft office and Excel)
- Good organizational and presentation skills
- DESIRED- NDT Qualifications
- Supervisory or Management qualification
- Driving license
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics- Ability to read, analyses, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, techniques, and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of technicians.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.
