Due to the continued prosperity of our client, AQUMEN Recruitment is looking to recruit an experienced Software Engineer on behalf of a Global Manufacturing company.
This is a REMOTE position supporting their Pocklington Site but would require visits to the site on a fortnightly basis therefore living within a commutable distance is essential
The purpose of the role is to support an International Team of Engineers, Scientists, Researchers, Designers, working together to achieve company goals and help build new digital products and services to create value for stakeholders across the globe.
The main objective of this role are to manage and develop the Analytical Services bespoke LIMS system and ensure any new instrumentation is compatible.
The role will liaise closely with various departments and channels, to ensure developments are aligned with the company's global digital tools and services as well as to ensure that engineering efforts are working on the right initiatives.
Responsibilities also include:
- Increasing performance and productivity of the project by raising ideas on how to improve internal processes and collaboration.
- Be the technical go-to person in your project for technical and non-technical topics and stakeholders and ensure any new instrumentation is compatible with the LIMS.
- Drive an engineering culture of quality, good development principles, and innovation.
- Maintain the laboratory website.
**Profile**
- Experience working with Legacy projects.
- Strong experience on databases such as SQLServer, and Postgres.
- Strong experience on Windows forms.
As a Software Engineer you will receive a competitive annual salary with additional benefits including: Annual Bonus, Private Healthcare, Pension (10% employer contributions) plus 25 days holiday per annum with the option of buying up to 5 extra days.
Whilst this is a REMOTE opportunity due to having to visit the site on a regular basis it would be advantageous to live in the following areas: York, Goole, Selby, Hull, Beverley, Leeds
