We are currently looking to hire a Trusts Fundraiser for a charity based in Wakefield.

The Trusts Fundraiser will be a huge part of the development & implementation of the trusts strategy, to maximise income from grant making.

**Duties and Responsibilities...**

1. Maximise support from charitable trusts, taking responsibility for maintaining and developing existing partnerships and developing, drafting and submitting tailored funding bids to prospective funders, to ensure fundraising targets are achieved.

2. Research and gather evidence, facts, quotes etc.

3. Ensure charitable trusts receive timely reports on the use of grants, up to date information on hospice activities and appropriate thanks for support in order to increase donor involvement, loyalty and funding.

4. Ensure that projects grant conditions are communicated with relevant departments to ensure restricted funding is appropriately identified and controlled in line with the requirements of independent auditors as per Trusts procedure.

5. Work across departments to build effective relationships with clinical and other hospice team members in order to identify suitable agreed projects for trust funding in line with the hospice strategy and objectives.

7. Responsible for online fundraising appeals to raise funds for specific projects, items etc.

8. Responsible for other appeals to raise funds for specific projects, items etc.

9. Keep accurate and accessible income records on an ongoing basis in order to report to the Fundraising Manager on performance against budget targets, as required.

10. Undertake research using a variety of available media to identify areas of potential new support from charitable trusts.

11. Responsible for developing and promoting Gifts of Kindness, thanking donors, administration etc.

**General Duties**

1. Preparing activity reports.

2. Demonstrate a commitment to your own development, taking advantage of education and training opportunities and develop their own competence.

3. Participate in all mandatory training as required.

4. Participate in the development of overall fundraising strategy and initiatives and give practical assistance in all other areas as required.

5. Have an awareness of overall fundraising events and fundraising initiatives, such as payroll giving, gift aid and gifts in kind.

6. Have an awareness of legacies, hospice lottery, flower fund and in memory giving, and ability to promote these income streams.

7. In conjunction with members of the fundraising team, represent the hospice at events, displays, exhibitions, etc., to help ensure that the hospice maintains a high profile within the community.

8. Receiving and, when appropriate, receipting cash raised at events within the community and ensuring its safe handling in line with the event risk assessment.

9. Preparing feasibility budgets and plans for fundraising activities and campaigns.

10. Have an awareness of departmental policies, procedures, standards and strategies.

11. Maintain an awareness of the overall activities of the hospice and provide informed talks and presentations to businesses and the local community as required.

12. Any other duties which may, from time to time, be required in the interests of the hospice.

**Part Time, 22.5 hrs per week.**

**£26,000 - £30,000 (Pro-rata & DOE)**

**Hours and days are flexible across Monday - Friday (may include evenings and weekends on occasion)
