The Partner and Community Focus team are recruiting team members to support us in welcoming children and their families into our local communities having fled conflict in Ukraine.

We are looking for empathetic, compassionate, and flexible individuals to join our team to help children and families who have come to settle here in Norfolk. We want to enable and empower people to live independently and thrive whilst living here by giving them the confidence to access the services and opportunities available to them.

As a Senior Pathway Advisor, you will oversee a team of Family Assistants and Family Coordinators to ensure that contacts and requests for support are actioned in a timely way. You will ensure that the team makes appropriate and timely recommendations to support families involving the right agencies and services that can offer support to children and their families.

You will be working closely with the wider Partner and Communities teams and liaising with colleagues from the People from Abroad team, district councils and partners such as health and education to ensure that the best next steps of help are set into motion.

Excellent communication and supervisory skills will be essential for this role.

You will need to promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and have a good understanding of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership threshold guide and experience of talking to and working with vulnerable people.

Although these positions will have a focus on the response to supporting families arriving from Ukraine you will be working as part of the wider Partner and Communities team supporting children and their families in Norfolk accessing early help.

In return you will be working in a supportive team community, within a hardworking and passionate environment.

The ability to speak Ukrainian, Russian, Polish or similar would be an advantage although not essential.
