Aber Falls Whisky Distillery has a Production Facility in Bangor that allows us to bottle our very own Whisky and spirits portfolio, currently distilled and matured at the Aber Falls Whisky Distillery. We are now looking for Production Operatives to join the Aber Falls team

**Overview**

You will be responsible for the filling, moving, preparation, packaging and handling of a range of finished goods and bulk liquids, using company approved standard operating procedures, whilst abiding with all relevant company policies for health & safety, hygiene and quality to ensure that these products comply with the agreed specification and are prepared in time to satisfy the production programme.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- To ensure correct materials are available to meet production plan.
- To ensure specification sheet and SOP’s are followed at all times.
- Ensure all bottling is conducted in accordance with Company hygiene requirements.
- Knowledge of all operating screens/controls.
- Participate in line equipment changes as required.
- Identify and rectify basic faults on filling and packaging equipment.
- Ensure that materials are effectively used and wastage is maintained within permitted levels
- To follow any reasonable management instruction
- To be aware at all times of the Company health and safety policy. Ensure all processes are conducted in accordance with Company hygiene requirements and the work area is clean and tidy
- Highlight any consumable shortages to avoid unnecessary downtime.
- To ensure maximum effective utilisation of machinery and run machinery at the correct speeds.
- To ensure production administration procedures are accurately completed within the requisite timescales.
- To ensure that all tasks are completed with minimum losses.
- Lifting of bags and containers up to 25kg and manually roll empty and full casks adhering to company health and safety procedures.
- To assist in the training of other colleagues.

- Previous experience in a food-manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated, dedicated, resourceful, adaptable and flexible
- Able to lift and handle large kegs
- Team player with good communication
- Ability to freely contribute to continuous improvement and suggestions.
- Punctual
- Possess a good level of literacy and numeracy
- Computer literate
- Desire to undertake ongoing training
- Preferably hold a current FLT license
- The ability to work at heights.
- GCSE Level or equivalent education.

Shift allowance will be payable for rotating shift patterns if applicable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour
