**The Role**

As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily production of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, assisting with baking processes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring products meet our high standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist Production Manager with the preparation of traybakes, fillings, and other bakery items.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition.
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, following recipes and production schedules.
- Support quality control by inspecting finished products for consistency, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Package baked goods and assist with labelling for retail or wholesale distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the team of any shortages or replenishment needs.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment is essential.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions precisely.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training provided if necessary).
- Physical stamina to handle a hands-on role that involves standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
