To be the lead equality specialist for the Trust.
- Lead on implementing the Trust’s equality strategy to include the development of an inclusive, diverse and engaging

culture to improve staff and patient experience.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Trust on diversity and inclusion.
- Leading on developing and managing our response to the BAME external cultural review, monitoring progress.
- Liaising with services within Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust and through commissioned contracts regionally.
- Lead on developing the coordination of education and development

associated with improving EDI knowledge and expertise.
- Lead, manage and motivate the EDI team, ensuring full management of this

major area of activity.
- Ensure the Trust meets all equality related statutory and regulatory

requirements including pay gap reporting and annual equality reporting.

3. Leading on strategies and relevant policies in collaboration with diversity,
4. inclusion and staff network groups within LUHFT, to embed diverse and inclusive

stakeholder groups to report on transformative initiatives and their progress.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.
