We have an exciting locum opportunity for a Children & Young People's Commissioner with UK experience to join our team.

**Pay rate (Assignment rate)**: £450 per day

**Contract Length**: 3-6 months

**Duties**:

- Be responsible for leading on all aspects of end-to-end commissioning
- One of the priority areas of work, but not exclusively will be Supported Living/Semi Independent Living
- There is a Supported Living/Semi Independent Living project group established and service user consultation has been conducted but this now needs to be translated into modelling and commissioning of an appropriate service(s)
- Leading on the delivery of children’s commissioning and procurement activities
- Strategic and bespoke commissioning activities
- Providing ownership, leadership and expertise across the commissioning cycle to ensure value for money, high quality services, desired outcomes and improved efficiencies

**Requirements for the Children & Young People's Commissioner role**:

- An experienced children, young people, and families Interim Commissioner with a successful track record
- Recent experience of Semi Independent Living for care leavers and UASC would be an advantage
- Strong delivery experience of undertaking end to end commissioning activities
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Previously worked in a local authority
- Proven ability to work fluidly in ambiguous circumstances
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate an analytical and strategic approach in previous roles
