**Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30**

**The Opportunity**

We have a new opportunity for a Team Leader to join the Company, working with the Transport Team. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of FLT drivers to ensure a smooth transport operation, both inbound and outbound, along with ensuring the receipt of raw goods are accurate and put away activities ensure raw stock availability, access to orders required for production and swift loading of finished goods.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Managing the safe and timely transportation of loads across site and between our suppliers and customers.
- Managing the booking in and out of raw stock and finished goods always ensuring accuracy.
- Liaising with key stakeholders within the business to effectively manage swift throughput of vehicles.
- Ensure that all team members understand and are able to demonstrate safe, legal, and efficient driving skills and do so at all times during working hours.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed correctly and promptly.
- Team Motivation, providing coaching, guidance and encouragement to ensure planned targets and deadlines are met.
- Monitor attendance and time keeping for the team and take action where appropriate.
- Manage and motivate the team to safely deliver excellent service to all areas of the business as required.
- Conduct regular performance management appraisals for all team members to drive capability and conduct and identify training needs and areas for development.
- Drive the team to maintain safe, structured work areas at all times and that there are no obstructions to the clear and safe passage of pedestrians and traffic across the site, including the use of standard work operations and 5S.
- Adhere to and ensure that all staff adhere to Company procedures, and health and safety policies and practices.
- Ensure that staff under their control are wearing the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times during working time, and maintain it to a high standard.
- Additional duties as deemed reasonable and necessary to meet the needs of the business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
