Hotel Receptionist

Château Rhianfa is a luxury, Grade II-listed hotel nestled on the banks of the Menai Strait. Steeped in history and known for delivering elegant guest experiences, we are seeking a warm, articulate, and professional **Hotel Receptionist** to join our Front of House team.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless arrival and departure process while providing knowledgeable, attentive service throughout the guest journey. This is a varied role that occasionally includes light food and beverage duties to support the wider team in delivering an exceptional and memorable stay.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide thoughtful information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Respond to guest enquiries, feedback, or complaints with care, empathy, and a solution-focused approach.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and presentable reception area at all times.
- Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met efficiently.
- Accurately process payments and maintain financial records in line with hotel procedures.
- Support the Food & Beverage team as required, including assisting with teas, coffees, bar service, and occasionally helping with meal service during busy periods.
**Skills & Qualities**
- A passion for hospitality and a guest-first attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Calm and professional under pressure, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Proficient in or willing to learn hotel booking and property management systems (training provided).
- Previous experience in a hospitality, front-of-house, or customer service environment is preferred.
**Desirable**
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an advantage.
- Familiarity with barista-style coffee service or basic bar operations is helpful (training available).
- Interest in historic buildings, luxury service, or the local area of North Wales is a plus.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
