Commercial Insurance Account Executive

**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30

Our client based in Flitwick is an independent Broker, specialising in Commercial and Industrial Insurance. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join their small friendly team.

The purpose of the role is to effectively handle all queries relating to both existing and new Commercial Insurance clients. Assist clients in the handling of claims from the initial reporting all the way through to the settlement of the claim.

Responsibilities for Commercial Account Executive:

- Negotiate the renewal of Commercial policies. This includes insuring the premium and terms put forward to the clients still remain the most competitive and the most suitable for their needs.
- Respond to enquiries from clients, prospected clients or Underwriters/Insurers in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively manage Commercial Claims to ensure clients receive fair treatment and to ensure the claims are being handled in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the advice given to clients remains professional and accurate at all times
- Must maintain an effective diary system to keep track of invoicing and upcoming renewals etc.
- A Minimum of 35 hours of Continual Personal Development must be completed each year and recorded on the Aviva On-line system - This is in line with FCA Guidelines and the CII minimum requirements a member of the institute.

Experience / Skills
- Previous Commercial insurance experience
- Able to communicate professionally with both insurers and customers whether in writing, face-to-face or by telephone
- Able to meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of various computer systems
- Manage and prioritise workloads to focus on the most urgent requirements
- Ability to work under pressure in a calm/professional manner
- Great attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge required for the main classes of business insurance including, Property Damage, Casualty
- Intermediate knowledge required in the handling of claims including but not restricted
