Head Veterinary Receptionist

Look no further Here at Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as Head Veterinary Receptionist. Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients lovely pets.

As Head Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, you'll be the friendly face and the first person our clients see when they walk through our doors, greeting clients with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss

You'll assist them with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries and providing general support.

This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with 1:4 weekends.

Your day at Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery could include:

- Managing the Reception teams at our main site & also Ashbarn & Downslink Veterinary Surgery
- Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
- Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
- Help to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment Booking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
- Help the Vet and Nurse team with queries
- Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets digital records
- Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
- Ordering food and medication
- Diary Planning on RX Works
- Rota Management
- Authorising holiday for Reception Team - ensuring cover levels for holidays
- Authorising Time off in Lieu for Reception Team
- Ensuring Reception Team are trained in all systems - RX/ Deko/ PHP Plan/ VIP/ Direct Claim Information
- Ad hoc Reception Duties as requested
- Ensuring all sites have Facebook/ Instagram posts daily
- Keeping a log of any overtime that team have done to be authorised by management

About You Ideally you will have:

- Previous Experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the Veterinary or Medical Industry
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational abilities and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
- Be proficient in computer systems and software.
- Previous Experience in a Senior position
