Electrical Supervisor

Job Purpose:
To install, maintain and repair electrical wiring on solar PV and EV charging equipment. Acting as the main contact onsite, you will manage the onsite team (usually 1 electrician, 2 labourers) and work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are operating within schedule and on budget. Ensure that work completed is in accordance with relevant codes and legislation including MCS, NAPIT and other Quality Assurance guidance.

This role will start as a hands-on Electrical Supervisor role, completing installations and commissions with the intention of up-skilling the labour teams to allow the Supervisor to step into a more hands off supervisory position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Taking responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, including any associated accident reporting and/or investigation; the Project Manager will complete preliminary documentation.
- Working with the Project Manager and After Sales coordination team to remain on time and within budget on projects.
- As a team carry out a full installations of Solar PV systems and EV charging points to company and accreditation standards.
- Work alongside various engineers, site managers and companies as required.
- To complete and update all requested paperwork, including Commissioning Certificates
- Undertaking briefings on method statements, risk assessment, toolbox talks and any other briefings required.
- To amend method statements and risk assessments due to site changes and ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to by all personnel on site.
- Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
- Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment.
- Acting as the main contact onsite, referring to the Project Manager where required.
- Conducting pre-installation site visits and surveys.
- Liaise with clients, identifying any potential issues with installation, cable routes etc. and provide resolutions and realistic timescales.
- Working closely with the Project Manager on prioritising workload and the teams work schedules.
- Maintain regular communication with the office team to ensure smooth handover and support where required.

Skill/ Qualification Requirements:

- Applicant must be a fully qualified electrician with 18th edition
- Be able to work to NICEIC/ MCS standard.
- Hold an ECS/CSCS card
- Must be able to drive and hold a full UK driving license.
- Applicant must pass a DBS check
- Electrical background
- Awareness of CDM Regulations.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
