**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Flight Operations Manager who has strong team leadership, management, organisational and interpersonal skills with previous experience of working within an Aviation environment.

Working as a Flight Operations Manager you will oversee the running of the Operations Team, reporting into the FBO Director and take overall responsibility for the safe and accurate sorting, collating, and transferring of technical and personal data enablingthe production of the daily airport movement programme.

As a Flight Operations Manager you will lead a large team of Operations Officers who focus on providing a safe, fast, and efficient handling of all aircraft movements through the Airport. Prompt and accurate communication is key to the provision of excellentcustomer service and the base to the airports success.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Flight Operations Manager will include:

- Lead a large team, responsible for providing a safe, fast, and efficient handling of all aircraft movements through the Airport
- Management responsibilities, including payroll management, conducting annual appraisals, and rota management to ensure sufficient department coverage
- Act as an escalation point for complex customer (crew) queries or concerns
- Support the transition and ongoing use of I6
- Work in partnership with the wider FBO Management team to support consistent high standards of customer and crew experience
- Be proficient and up to date on industry wide DfT and CAA enforced legislation
- Manage ATM performance to ensure that Aircraft movements are in line with ATC protocols
- Ensure that screening flights are managed in accordance with operating parameters
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with NATs to support their forecast movements, particularly around peak times, and implementation of any flow restrictions (Imparted by NATs)
- Keeping a strong relationship with base and key operators
- Liaising with UK Border Force and Counter Terrorism
- Attend company meetings as required
- Maintain and update the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for traffic and planning, ensuring accuracy
- Ensure that daily movements are accurately recorded and verified with ATC movements

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Previous experience of working within an Aviation environment
- Demonstrated understanding of airside safety requirements
- Experience of managing a large team
- Experience of working with data and providing timely reporting for senior management
- Experience of presenting to senior management and various stakeholders
- Full, clean driving license
- Must be able to meet CRC security clearance requirements
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with a perfect understanding of high quality and personal service.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends (if required)

**Desirable**
- Additional spoken language/languages
- Previous experience in a similar role
