Party Host

Excellent customer experience - making every birthday child feel extra special.

Food/drinks service.

Party sales & bookings.

Party area and centre cleanliness.

Safety, games and fun.

Delivery of enthusiastic and energetic Kidzplay / Little Bees parties.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Greet each birthday child with warm and appropriate enthusiasm; fun and a smiling face - make them feel like they’re the centre of our universe, during their celebration at Kidzplay / Little Bees
- Guide parents / celebrating adults with timings, cake presentation, decorations and drinks service
- Remind everyone of the rules of play - socks on; shoes off; slide, hair and clothing safety
- Call children down from the play areas to enjoy their pre-chosen party menu and birthday cake.
- Hand wash / sanitise. Juice and food service. Respond to allergen requests. Encourage shy children.
- Store the cake until it’s time to sing. Light candles and lead the children (and adults) to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ at the top of their voices
- Help parents / adults with party bags, sweet pots - and any food ordered for adults or siblings.
- Payment / party booking service - to include gathering feedback and prompting social media reviews.
- Thoroughly clean all party areas; reset and start a fresh for each and every birthday child.
- In being the BEST party host - you will know each and every birthday child’s favourite game to playand they will remember your name for making sure had the most fun _ever_

**To be successful in your role as a Party Host team member, you will be responsible to**
- Develop a good working relationship; be respectful and have good communication with the Managers, Owners, other team members and customers.
- Be pro-active in daily briefings to understand the needs of the business and preparation for parties / activities.
- Pride yourself to be customer focussed at all times; deliver excellent visitor experience, cleanliness and a sense that each and every party is the first you have hosted each and every time.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and smart, clean uniform. Wear costumes and face-paints
- Complete any training required to ensure you are confident to complete your role. Buddy up with new team members to share your knowledge and support their training as Party Host.
- Maintain appropriate interaction with children - especially when lost or upset.
- Adhere to the Kidzplay / Little Bees Child Protection Policy and safety/care measures.
- Provide safe play and monitor appropriate behaviour for all visitors & children.
- Maintain parent/guardian expectations in accordance with the visitor rules & guidelines.
- Provide great handover information for the team member next on shift.
- Keep the Centre spotlessly clean and hygienic at all times. Complete any tasks required to maintain the deep cleaning routine - and stay ahead of damages caused by decorations.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order, informing the Shift Leader of any repairs and replacements after you have carried out frame and safety checks.

**Training, knowledge and skills**
- Be aware of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) 14 Allergens. Respond to customer allergies & intolerances. Work in a positive manner with Chef to cater for dietary needs.
- Complete all food orders in a maximum of 20 minutes. Support the Shift Leader to clearly communicate any food timing delays and manage customer expectations.
- Be aware of stock rotation and product expiry dates (report expiry/waste to Shift Leader).
- Respond enthusiastically to positive feedback - share your success. Follow the customer complaint handling procedure to resolve issues quickly.
- Report _all feedback_ to the Shift Leader, liaising with the Chef as appropriate.
- In time train others to become proficient in being a ‘Party Host’.
- On occasion you may be required to support and work in an alternative Centre.
- Any other duties which are reasonable to support your role as Front of House Team Member and ambassador for the company.
