Trainee Server Tester

We’re on the lookout for Trainee and Junior Server Testers.
We’re hiring for several roles within our engineering department. Comprising of two teams, our engineering department is responsible for building and supplying quality and bespoke computers to brokers, resellers and trade whilst ensuring our customers get theirexact requirements.
If you’re interested in IT and you’d enjoy developing your IT hardware skillset and working within a fast-paced, exciting team, this role is for you As part of our engineering team, you’ll be building and testing servers, booking in/out deliveries, runningdiagnostics and quality checking components.

This role will be based in our new office in Bracknell, 5 days a week. Operating on a rotating shift: Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm and 11:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
**Trainee Server Tester Responsibilities**:

- Identify parts of a server and understand functionality of parts
- Learn server configuration e.g. which slots are for which parts
- Know the difference in appearance between server models and generations
- Use NAV to locate / trace product
- Check no missing components
- Book In/Out small Purchase Orders / sales orders
- Single product orders with speed and efficiency
- Support Engineer with large Purchase Orders
- Identify common faults, memory slot and Dell on screen errors

Desirable but not essential:

- Qualifications or knowledge in IT processes and procedures
- Previous experience within an engineering/warehouse team

LA Micro Group is an independent technology group, home to LA Direct Solutions, Bytestock and Yello Telecoms. Having just moved to a larger warehouse facility, we’re expanding our team.

**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 40 per week
**Salary**: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum
