**About the Role**

As an experienced Buyer or Category owner you’ll be part of a team who add value and make an impact by ensuring the products and services from our supply partners are implemented accurately and on time, with all commercial guidance optimized to deliver maximumbenefit and support

You’ll have the opportunity to continually innovate the ways we work and play a key part in our continued growth.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

You will be working closely with our practice teams and external partners to provide comprehensive support across all elements of the buying lifecycle.
- Own and develop your categories to optimise margin and support practices
- Negotiate, monitor, and report on commercial terms, funding, and investment owning the day-to-day contract management of suppliers
- Guide and support new practices to transition to the group moving over to Hakim Group accounts with the supply base
- Supporting the Head of Buying in implementing change and transformation programmes across the Group.

You’ll be a commercial professional, understanding business challenges and tackling them with confidence. Being a fantastic communicator who can build relationships and influence will be key to being successful. You’ll be comfortable working within a flatstructure, meaning that some days you’ll be working at a strategic level and other days you’ll be updating spreadsheets A knowledge of the optical industry would be beneficial but not essential
