**Workshop Technician - Silicone Tooling Specialist**

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Workshop Technician with a speciality in Silicone Tooling preparation to join our expanding Rapid Prototyping team.

Reporting to the Senior RP Technician - Team Leader, you will be assisting with all aspects involved in producing rapid prototypes to customer specifications.

Working in the Rapid Prototype team, you will process orders to a high standard. Our customers expect fast turnarounds, so you will work with your colleagues to meet strict deadlines.

**The Workshop Technician will be able to**:

- Master model preparation and painting
- Creating Silicon tooling - vents and feeds
- vacuum casting processes - mix resins / calculate material to be used / mix colours.
- Clean Vacuum cast mouldings to a high standard for presentation to customers.
- Work on all 3D printed parts to finish to customers specification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required for this position.
- You will be able to take any part and create a silicone tool and cast a part without any assistance.
- You will be able to work under pressure.
- You will be well organised.
- You will be required to complete additional workshop duties not related to silicone tooling.

Salary range: £27k - £31k per annum

Annual leave: 21 days (increasing with service time) + Bank Holidays

Monday to Friday - 40 Hours per week, 07:30 - 16:00 (½ Hour Lunch) flexibility on start time.

You will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to work permanently within the UK

Relocation costs will not be supported so ideally you live within a 45-minute commute of Royston.
