Tasks and responsibilities:
*Cash forecasting (weekly, 13 weeks, forecasts, budgets)
*Cash management
*Payment approvals in bank
*Treasury operations lead for entities in Europe.
*Coordinate with Global Treasurer to ensure adequate liquidity for the region and each legal entity.
*Support the region in all treasury matters, including funding and optimization of working capital.
*Actively manage cash flow to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual cash flow targets are met.
*Monthly review of reported cash/debt balances and reconciliation of differences as required.
*Provide commentary for cash flow variances against budget/forecast for month, YTD, Full year for all locations and Europe.
*Daily upload and approval of payments in the banking system.
*Develop tools for the organisation to improve cash forecasting (particular focus on receivables, payables, and inventory).
*Assist in the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives related to Global cash management and forecasting processes.
*Where appropriate, establish currency hedges to limit FX exposure.
*Support the business with queries related to company cards.
*Ensure system security for all banking systems.
*Support with all audit requests related to treasury.
*Special projects as needed.
Requirements, Qualification, Competencies
Education / Technical expertise:*Completely fluent in English (verbal, written) - Essential
*A minimum of 5 years in a treasury position working in multiple currencies across a region - Essential
*Basic accounting knowledge - Essential
*Understanding of FX transactions from a banking and accounting perspective - Essential
*Degree educated - Desirable
*Qualified ACT - Desirable
Experience of:
*Active cash management to meet cash flow targets.
*Meeting strict internal and external deadlines including for ad-hoc requests.
*Providing detailed cash flow variance analysis to senior management on a timely basis.
*Implementing controls and processes to improve systems and deliverables.
*A track record of meeting forecasts and budgets.
*Building a strong treasury function at a regional level which can support the decision making.
Personal Skills:*Excellent planning and time management skills
*Highly analytical and systematic in approach with advanced Excel skills
*Passionate about accuracy/diligence and quality with a continuous improvement approach
*A hands-on individual who is prepared to roll their sleeves up when required to get the job done.
*Ability to articulate information clearly to all levels of seniority including financial and non-financial individuals.
