Support Worker Wanted

I am 18 years old and looking for a support worker.

I go to college and study BTEC Sport. I adore all things sport related. I also love music and computer games. I’d love my support worker to enjoy these things too.

I have cerebral palsy. I use a wheelchair full time and need help with all aspects of personal care and daily living activities. I need assistance to eat and drink as my upper limb function is limited. I love to chat and interact but my cerebral palsy effects my speech patterns so you sometimes have to help me be understood.

I have a fully adapted and equipped property and wheelchair accessible vehicle.

I need you to collect me from college and help me with my evening care routines and on days when I’m not at college, the general shift pattern is as follows but there may be some times where times are negotiated with carers around my activities:
Monday 9am - 2pm
Tuesday 3.30pm - 7.30pm
Wednesday 11.00am - 7.00pm
Thursday 3.00pm - 7.30pm

Job shares can be considered.

I may have more hours to offer in college holidays but this negotiable and flexible.

You need to have worked with young people like me before and have a full driving licence.

£14 - £16 per hour depending on experience.

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
