BAM are looking for a commercial smart finance apprentice to join our team based in the **Camberley office. **This is an opportunity to join a multi-million pound construction business and build solid foundations gaining knowledge in different aspects of finance and extended business operations. Alongside the supportive work place training you will also work towards a Level 3 Assistant Account apprenticeship and AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

**Your mission**

On this apprenticeship you will learn to take on duties such as;
- Assist with the preparation of project reports.
- Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
- Support in the provision of management information to the management teams
- Support of other finance team members maintaining a strong internal controls position
- Support Project Managers in resolution of routine queries
- Effective management of Working Capital within the Business Unit
- Activities to support work winning or delivery of the area’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Work closely with commercial peers to improve efficiencies and add value to various civil engineering projects.

- Communication - Ensure material is clear, concise and accurate. Prepare and ownership of fact based and repeatable information. Ensure verbal communication is appropriate to group and setting.
- Collaboration & Partnering - Acknowledge different priorities between functions. Build relationships to build credibility.

**Qualifications** - Grade 4 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English would be desirable for this apprenticeship
