**Purpose**:
To provide efficient and effective supervisory support to the Production Manager and the team to achieve agreed KPI’s. Including agreeing, implementing and monitoring team and individual targets, whilst making sure company policies and procedures are adhered to. To achieve this, you will be expected to manage people; processes and systems, making sure productivity targets are met and maintained.

**Key responsibilities and duties - daily tasks will include but not be limited to**:
**Operational Management**
- Make sure procedures, standards, and timeframes for all aspects of Production are communicated to Production operatives and acted upon.
- Monitor achievement of KPIs re performance target and standards, giving operatives positive or development feedback as necessary.
- Supervise the activities of production operatives to meet deadlines, quality standards and legal requirements.
- Be accountable for completion of standard or non-standard tasks.
- Make sure effective communication throughout the shift to achieve KPIs/customer service targets.
- Maintain stock integrity
- Resource Management
- Plan, monitor, and adjust staffing levels including holidays and task allocation to organise completion of Production shift duties in line with time, cost, and quality targets.
- Make sure all stock is handled in a way that minimises the risk of damage while in stock or during delivery.
- Control hours and overtime by operating to agreed standards of staff utilisation, and within budget.
- Demonstrate awareness of cost/benefit as applicable to tasks performed e.g. overtime.
- Support the identification of ways to reduce costs/waste or inefficiencies.
- Constantly look for ways to improve efficiencies or save costs.

**People Management**
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of production operatives, making sure performance and conduct standards are communicated and monitored.
- Take action on holding initial performance or conduct conversations in a timely manner and informing HR as appropriate
- Effectively process electronic information using the various computer systems as required.
- Deliver some on-the-job training and development for production operatives (e.g. induction).
- Working with the Production Manager to contribute to the recruitment and selection of new production operatives.
- Work closely with Head of Operations, Production Manager, Health and Safety and HR to improve own performance or skill set.
- Health and Safety
- Make sure there is full PPE compliance during the shift.
- Promote safe working.
- Make sure safety of physical environment for self, staff, and visitors to the Production floor.
- Contribute to a secure, safe, and healthy working environment (e.g. housekeeping/tidiness checks).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.60 per hour
