North Yorkshire County Council’s Health and Wellbeing Service is a small, specialist practitioner team of qualified Occupational Health Advisers, led by the Senior Occupational Health Adviser who reports to the Health and Wellbeing Manager. This high-performing team oversees the delivery of occupational health services, health promotion activity and health surveillance programmes to managers and staff across the Council, plus Schools& Academies and external contracts.

As an Occupational Health Adviser a critical element to the role is the effective liaison with multidisciplinary teams internally. North Yorkshire County Council has a workforce exceeding 20,000 people so you will also be involved in the development and delivery of public health initiatives across the county, working alongside your line manager and public health consultants.

As the Health and Wellbeing team delivers both internally and externally you will be able to have a real impact in leading the delivery of a first rate Occupational Health service to our employees as well as with external organisations.
