The Public Transport Service is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join an ambitious and innovative team. The post is a development opportunity offering the opportunity to learn about all aspects of public public transport work ranging from policy development, bidding for funding, commissioning projects, scheme delivery, communication and monitoring and evaluation activities. You will work on a broad range of Public Transport related strategies and schemes. This will include the development of the council's Zero Emission Bus Strategy, and administration of the Greater Nottingham Enhanced Partnership Scheme and Bus Service Improvement Plans to help achieve the Council's Carbon Neutral by 2028 target and support the recovery of the bus and tram network from the impact of Covid-19 and changes to travel patterns. Key projects include supporting the management of the local bus partnership, development of Nottingham's zero emission bus network, developing new and improved bus corridors and ehancing the passenger experience.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- A degree or equivalent in transport, geography, politics, publicy policy or a related discipline
- An awareness of green public transport policies and their importance to an urban city environments
- A good level of literacy and numeracy, an ability to interpret statistical and other technical date to prepare reports
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
- A team player with the ability to build strong supportive relationships
- Ability to analyse and solve problems in an efficient manner
