Job Title: Kitchen Assistant (16.5 hours)

Location: Town Moor House Residential Home, Doncaster

**Job Purpose**

To provide the link between the preparation of meals in the main kitchen and the service of food and drinks to the residents.

**Principal Accountabilities and Activities**
- Assisting in the preparation of meals and drinks.
- Clean food and production area. Ensure that all cleaning materials are handled according to the Company Policy / HACCP.
- Prepare vegetables and beverages for residents as required by the Chef Manager.
- Prepare food and trolleys for the meals.
- Provide assistance with plating meals when required.
- Put away stores, paying particular attention to stock rotation.
- Undertake deep cleaning tasks under the direction of the Chef Manager following schedules and maintaining documentation is completed.
- Always maintain a professional and hygienic appearance at all times.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in any satellite kitchens, ensuring that all areas and utensils are cleaned during food preparation and put away in the appropriate areas as directed by the Chef Manager.
- Duty to whistleblow if witness bad practice or harm to a resident within the home

**Qualifications, Training and Experience**
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Experience working in kitchen.
- Team Player.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and flexible.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, remaining courteous at all times.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
