Play Cafe Assistant

**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Play Café Assistant and Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will ensure that every cup of coffee meets our standards of excellence. Please note
- the days we may have shifts available are weekends, **Fridays** and potentially Mondays in the new year.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Sanitizing and tidying the play area in between sessions
- Assist with food preparation as needed, including baked goods and light snacks.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
**Requirements**:
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
Bonus if you have any experience in working with children under the age of 5 or parents with young children.
All successful applicants must be happy to undertake the relevant training and e-learning (provided by us).
Hours will be **09:15 - 15:15 **on weekdays with variations of a similar time at the weekends. Occasionally, there will be later hours or evening shifts depending on events, workshops and parties.

Pay: £10.00-£11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 6.5 - 13 per week
