Established over 50 years ago, Chearsley and Haddenham Under Fives (CHUF) is a thriving preschool for children aged 2 to school age. CHUF provides a structured, learning group with our main aim being for the children to enjoy themselves, and at the sametime to learn at their own pace in a warm and friendly environment.

CHUF is a registered charity governed by a group of Trustees, who provide support to the Preschool Manager and staff, enabling them to focus on the running of the settings and the care of the children.

Due to the retirement of the current Manager, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Preschool practitioner to lead the team across both the Chearsley and Haddenham sites.

Role

The Preschool Manager will inspire and lead the Preschool staffing team to provide safe, high quality education and care for each child and their family that attends the preschool. In addition to taking the lead in the Management team of the settings, thisrole serves a the key partner between the setting and the Trustees, working with them to provide the vision and delivery of the ethos of Chearsley & Haddenham Under Fives.

As Preschool Manager you will monitor and evaluate practices, policies and process that supports children’s education, development, and wellbeing. The role requires good communication skills, high levels of motivation and able to work under pressure. Itwill include managing multiple priorities and longer-term projects, ensuring the setting continues to meet the safeguarding and welfare, learning and development requirements within the Early Years Foundation Stage, Ofsted and other legislative requirements.

Experienced required
- Level 3 and or above relevant childcare qualification
- Experience of collaborative working within preschool agencies/settings
- Strong leadership skills
- Relevant EY paediatric first aid training
- Designated safeguarding lead training
- An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities for staff, parents, and children
