Team Leader

**SALARY: £30,924.00 PER ANNUM**

**LOCATION**: Leeds

**HOURS**: 30 hours per week Temporary contract until January 2026

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Beacon Leadership Team

Housing First provides person centred coaching, housing related support, information and advice to women of the TLA Housing First service.

Clients of Housing First will be women who are rough sleeping, homeless or at imminent risk of rough sleeping; they may present as challenging and are likely to have multiple disadvantages which make finding, securing and maintaining accommodation extremely difficult. The service will respond to the unique housing and support needs of sex-working women.

**Purpose of the post**

To work with the Beacon Leadership Team to ensure that the service provides focused,

The post holder will hold line management responsibility for 2-3 staff, ensuring the running of the scheme, and carry a client caseload. The post holder will deputize for the beacon leadership team where needed

**Essential Criteria**

Hold a current full driving licence and have access to a car. Business Insurance is recommended if using the car for work purposes.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

To recruit, induct, supervise, develop, appraise and manage in line with the organization’s recruitment and performance management policies and procedures.

To supervise staff on a daily basis, including supporting them to carry out support work tasks.

When required undertake a Key worker role and undertake client needs and risk assessments and complete support plans based on their complex needs

Identify both individual and team training needs.

To ensure good, professional, working relationships are developed and maintained with other organizations and support agencies in order to establish co-productive working to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to clients needs.

To engage with external agencies, sharing information about the role that the organization and team do.

To work in conjunction with Beacon leadership Team in implementing and monitoring service targets.

Create person-centred support plans with Clients to enable them to achieve their individual goals, with a key focus on obtaining relevant benefits and moving on to own secure accommodation.

Be able to use a computer and data collection software and be able to carry out administrative & monitoring tasks associated with the running of the service

To at all times work within, adhere to and promote Beacon’s/ TLA Safeguarding procedures to ensure that clients are safe from harm and abuse.

Maintain & provide accurate and appropriate records and reports as required.

To implement the admissions policies of the service, including issuing Assured Short hold Tenancy agreements.

Ensure that service targets are met and that where appropriate action plans are developed to ensure adequate throughput.

To ensure clients are given comprehensive information and advice regarding appropriate housing and support options.

Work with the team to ensure that anti-social behaviour and complaints are investigated and appropriate action taken.

Work with the team to collect any rent and charges that are due from clients and to ensure adequate, accurate records of these are maintained in line with Beacon/ TLA policies and procedures.

To work at all times as part of a team. This includes working with other staff, attending team and staff meetings and developing a team work approach to all aspects of the organization’s work.

To be inducted, supervised, performance managed and appraised in line with the organization’s performance management policies and procedures

To meet individual performance standards as required against Beacon /TLA performance and contracted funding requirements.

To promote and develop a team commitment to client empowerment and peer mentoring in line with Beacon /TLA policies and procedures.

To be responsible for your own personal learning and development where appropriate and undertake training, both mandatory and optional, to increase knowledge, skills and awareness.

To represent the service positively and professionally at organizational and external meetings.

To operate within the aims, policies and practices of the organization at all times and to be committed to and promote the organization’s equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory policies

Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as determined by the Beacon Leadership Team.

**Social Conditions**
