Destination Education is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join an 11-18 co-education school based in Dagenham. This 'state of the art' secondary school was built in 2016 after the brilliant success of its primary school. Since opening, this schoolnow provides 660 students with exceptional education, which offers a curriculum that equips them for their future challenges, whether that be at university or in life.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will join a team in a school where 'Personal development, behaviour and welfare' was judged as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED.

The Role of Learning Support Assistant:

- Offering support and guidance to help pupils increase their confidence and independence
- Take into account the student with special needs and ensuring they have access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, equipment and materials etc
- Support the teacher with implementing specific teaching programmes

The Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

- Passion for working with children in education
- Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Build and maintain successful relationships with students and staff; treating them with respect and consideration
