Fostering and Permanence Panel Adviser

**About the role**:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fostering and Permanence Panel Adviser to join our outstanding team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance to the panel and agency, ensuring the highest standards of fostering services in line with Fostering Regulations. You will also play a key role in service development, shaping policies, practices, and procedures across the Children and Young People’s Service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the Fostering Panel: Manage the Council’s independent Fostering Panel and support the continuous professional development of Hillingdon’s registered Foster Carers.
- Provide Professional Advice: Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards, Regulations, and relevant legislation by offering expert guidance to the panel.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain effective quality assurance systems to drive excellence and achieve positive outcomes for children, prospective adoptive parents, foster carers, and approved adoptive parents.
- Decision-Making Support: Coordinate and manage decision-making meetings, ensuring alignment with national and local performance measures.
- Support Social Workers: Help Social Workers refine their skills in drafting and presenting documentation for the agency decision-maker and the adoption and permanence panel.
