**Main objective of the role**:
The main objective of the role is to be a key senior member of the Immigration team, providing a first-class service to our clients on a range of matters. This includes small to medium enterprises and some larger corporations. The team seeks to involve all members in client relationship building and business development.

**Key responsibilities include**:
**Client service**:

- Advising clients on all aspects of UK immigration work, including:

- Developing your own caseload and providing support to the Corporate and Employment team client base, discussing fee quotes and tactical and strategic advice with partner/senior associates.
- Managing client relationship and business development/ cross referral opportunities both internally and externally.
- Providing excellent client service at all times in line with the Joelson values.

**Marketing/Business development**:

- Participating in marketing and BD events of the team and firm.
- Contributing to employment & immigration updates and preparing articles for the website and for sending out.
- Attending networking events and engaging enthusiastically with the firm’s marketing and BD initiatives.

**Other duties**:

- Taking responsibility for maintaining and updating your own legal knowledge.
- Managing your time efficiently and properly including time recording and ensuring files on which you are working are up to date on the firm’s electronic system.

**Practice overview**:
The Employment & Immigration team comprises 2 partners, 1 Associate Solicitor, 1 Solicitor, 1 Trainee Solicitor, 1 Graduate Apprentice Solicitor, and 1 Legal Secretary.

**Hours**:
9.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility required outside those times on occasion. We are offer flexibility to work from the office or at home with 2/3 days in the office, 1 day is a designated team day, along with 1 firmwide day in the office per month.
- Proactive, self-motivated and reliable individual;
- Strong academic background (a 2:1 degree or equivalent);
- First rate drafting skills;
- Experience at managing and mentoring team members;
- Demonstration of knowledge sharing skills and business development;
- A track record of establishing excellent client relationships;
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing;
- Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively;
- A friendly and personable approach with colleagues and clients;
- A proactive and growth mindset towards achieving goals;
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and an ability to pick up new systems quickly.
