Our experienced engineers calibrate and service a range of equipment, administering our extensive customer care programs including a range of scheduled maintenance contracts, on-site emergency cover and bespoke solutions that fit customer needs perfectly.

Our UKAS accreditation currently covers calibration for temperature, humidity and electrical simulation, both in-lab and on-site. With these technical assets, the bulk of our site work is comprised of the calibration of wireless monitoring systems and control systems.

A range of UK manufactured process-controlled products is also supplied through several of our working partners to suit the industries we work in. These can range from discrete controllers and recorders to wireless monitoring systems and from integrated control systems to calibration equipment.

Job Role:
Level 3 Technical Apprenticeship

The role of the Technical Apprentice will include:

- Technical support for calibration in accordance with ISO 17025 for temperature, humidity and electrical sensors and instruments both in our laboratory and on-site. Other parameters such as pressure, speed and CO2 concentration may be added to this scope in the future.
- Technical sales and support for process sensors, temperature controllers, multi-loop control systems, data loggers and power controllers from our office and calibration laboratory as well as on-site.
- Technical specification and liaising with customers (marketing, quotations, tenders, sales orders, order acknowledgements and supplier purchase orders) ensuring products are delivered on time under supervision.
- Supporting and following ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 quality procedures both in our laboratory and on-site.
- To be smartly dressed and presentable at all times both in our main office and on-site in front of customers.
- Full In-house training will be provided to the apprentice in office administration on Sage 50 Accounts and other industry specific software.
- Hosting audits carried out by UKAS and BSI, as well as by our customers.

Skills required
- Good communication skills with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- A high level of work integrity and honesty.
- Reliable, self-motivated and good time keeping.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft products (Excel, Word and Outlook) with good computer, keyboard and IT skills required.

Qualifications required:
You must have at least 7 G.C.S.E Grades (B and above) or equivalent. Maths, Physics and English Language are a must.

Training to be provided:
Technical Level 3 Apprenticeship in electrical and electronic engineering (external)

BTEC Level 3 & HNC (external)

Full Internal training program for industry specific topics including administration, product knowledge, calibration techniques and data handling.

Apprenticeship duration:
48 months

Working week:
40 hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 17:00)
