**Carpenter/Maintenance Person - The Hotel Folk**

**Salary: From £14.00 per hour**

The Hotel Folk are currently having a unique opportunity for a competent and experienced Carpenter/Maintenance Person to join our central maintenance team at The Hotel Folk.

This role will be primarily focusing on installing fire doors and ensuring these are up to standard across all of our hotels. As a part of our central maintenance team you will also ensure all routine maintenance work is carried out efficiently across the group.

You will need to have strong, proven carpentry experience to be considered for this role.

This is a full-time role working predominantly Monday - Friday, however some weekend will be required on a rota basis in line with our team and the needs of the business.

As this role will require you to work across 6 sites within Suffolk you will be required to have your own transport and tools.

**Key roles/responsibilities for our new Carpenter/Maintenance Person**:

- Complete installation of fire doors across the group, ensuring this are to a high standard.
- Carry out repair and replacement work such as basic painting and decoration, replacing taps and valves, connecting plugs, hanging pictures, minor repairs to fixtures and fittings, unblocking sinks and drains, hanging and repairing signage, and repairing garden fixtures and furniture
- Ensure that management are aware of any outstanding maintenance work and action to be taken
- Always work safely in accordance with the health and safety policy and procedures
- Know when to call upon expert/professional service providers, in agreement with line manager
- Communicate daily with general manager to discuss work schedule and priorities
- Always work so that there is a minimum amount of disruption to guests and other staff
