**We are currently looking for a Wedding Co-ordinator to join the Thornton family.**

The **Wedding Co-ordinator** role has integrated responsibilities, and will involve:

- Assisting with wedding and event set up.
- Respond to enquiries, answer calls & follow up leads in connection with weddings, cooperate, and unique events.
- Meet, greet, and liaise with customers offering venue show-around appointments for weddings and events.
- Create bespoke quotes for customers based on their exact needs.
- Raise contracts and payment schedules. Ensuring couples' finances and invoicing are managed effectively.
- Meet with booked couples to discuss their wedding requirements and create detailed function sheets.
- Organise and communicate with all departments regarding upcoming events and show round appointments.
- Follow up from show-around appointments supplying any relevant information and next steps.
- Operationally managing the day of a wedding from the morning until the evening party is in full swing according to the detailed event schedule of the day.
- Completing post-event feedback after every event.
- Respond to enquiries, answer calls & follow up leads in connection with weddings and events ensuring all enquiries are actioned daily.
- Manage an online booking system making appointments easy and accessible.
- Assisting managers in setting up events and closing, taking overall responsibility when covering holidays and other periods when managers are not available.
- Completing a hand-over to the bar supervisor at the end of the shift.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of wedding areas ensuring that all requirements (both statutory and Company) are met in relation to Health & Safety.
- Sending out regular surveys and analysing feedback ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Sending clients off-boarding packs and maintaining wedding relationships with couples after their wedding date - First Christmas, first anniversary, etc.
- Create and send regular newsletters offering to upsell items /special offers.
- Manage key external suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of weddings.
- Requesting & ensuring supplier documents are kept up to date and on file. E.g., public liability insurance, food hygiene, etc.
- Ensure event finances and invoicing are managed effectively.
- Working alongside marketing to suggest ideas and content for our social media plan, including reels, stories, posts, etc.
- Create blog posts for our website.
- Organise and manage styled shoots for marketing purposes.
- Manage online profiles and third-party listings.
- Ensure website pages are current and in date.
- Help plan and organise wedding open days and events.
- Help within other departments of the park based on couples’ requirements. For example, Glamping, champagne bar, etc)
- Liaising with various suppliers to ensure the best prices and deals are provided to maximize profit.
- Take part in meetings addressing any areas of concern or improvements as well as any general housekeeping.

**Skills required.**
- Knowledge of the wedding & hospitality industry would be beneficial but not essential. We will support you with a full training plan.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to the smallest detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clients with assurance, in a calm and confident manner, during pressurised times.
- Engaging with customers, creating unforgettable day/night.
- Confident - Toastmaster.
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for running bespoke weddings in a beautiful & unique venue.
- As a small team someone who is happy being “hands-on” with flexibility in your working week to ensure a positive guest experience.
- You will have high standards & genuinely want to make guests smile by delivering faultless service.
- You will have a key interest in weddings and events and can demonstrate knowledge of current market trends.
- To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance, in line with company standards
- Attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to company policies.
