**Job summary**:
Army Headquarters employs over 1000 Civil Servants, over 170 within the Programmes Directorate area. Within the Programme Directorate Head Military Capability Delivery is responsible for development of capability through-life, including upgrades and urgent operational requirements. More closely linked to UK land industrial capacity and export opportunities, it delivers increased commonality, interoperability, and continuously improving capability.

Working with Defence Support transformation, in particular the Engineering/Equipment Support transformation pillar, you will be required to engage with the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and their delivery partners to secure equipment data, allowing for analysis and Engineering/Equipment data driven decisions to be made which will improve the business and institutionalise data led decision making within the Army.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:

- This Equipment Digitalisation Information Exploitation (IX) role is responsible to the Digitisation Team Lead and Deputy for the development of equipment data exploitation products, tools, or outcomes. The purpose is to institutionalise data led decision making within the Army.**Person specification**:
The Key Areas of Responsibility for the role will be to;
- Support Capability Digitisation Lead in the execution of their duties.
- Collaborate across, and with, stakeholders from other Defence departments, to access and exploit data to develop Minimum Viable Products to enhance data driven decision making within Army Support.
- Support the development and delivery of the Equipment Information Exploitation (Eqpt IX) programme of work to deliver a coherent pan-programme Eqpt IX approach.
- To provide contextual understanding of the ‘Eqpt IX’ programme and its projects by communicating with, and influencing others across the Army, other front-line commands, DE&S and Industry.
- Supporting complementary Defence digitalisation programmes
- ** **Conduct data analysis and other tasks in support of Capability Digitisation Team initiatives
