**What it’s like being a Laboratory Technician Apprentice**
As an Apprentice Materials Technician at Special Testing Ltd you’ll be working in a laboratory but not as you know it Be prepared to get mucky as you get to know your materials. This won’t be a sterile environment and requires someone who’s not afraid toget stuck in.
You will become an integral part of a well-established team where cooperation and workload prioritisation is a key factor. You will be involved in a range of tasks from testing piece control and storage to carrying out various tests and recording their results.The success of this role is embedded in the good housekeeping and self-discipline.

**The Package**

- Starting salary of £13,318.5 per year
- 37.5 hour per week
- Enrolment on to the company bonus scheme after 6 months of service

At Tiro we’re obsessed with changing lives through science and technology apprenticeships so we can’t wait to have you on board.
Over 21 months, you’ll devote 20% of your time to working towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro, who’ll make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in yourapprenticeship.
Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you’ll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.
