We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR to join the EVENING SHIFT team of a thriving IPSWICH based distribution business, part of a $billion Multinational.

Working 6pm to 2am, Monday to Friday nights the salary is anticipated to be in the region of £30,000 (negotiable with experience).
- The successful WAREHOUSE SUPERVSOR will be the Senior person on site during the evening shift and as such will be responsible for:

- Supervising a team of 10 skilled Operatives within a Warehouse / Yard environment
- Safe and proper use of diverse lifting equipment
- Best allocation of people and resources to achieve planned activity targets
- Adherence to Health & safety procedures and best practice
- Updating inventory records and associated documentation
- Facilitating smooth shift handovers

Your team will be primarily responsible for:

- Loading & unloading lorries
- Order picking and preparation
- Stock rotation
- General housekeeping
- Receiving & despatching containers
- Loading & unloading trailers
- Housekeeping within the warehouse & yard areas
- Team management / supervision
- Experience gained in a warehouse, yard or transport type environment
- Computer literate including bar code scanning technology
- Systems surrounding stock management, goods in & out, despatch etc
- Working to a strict daily plan or work schedule
- Fit and able to work in a drafty warehouse / outdoor transport yard environment
- Previous experience of using lifting equipment would be advantageous

Note: This business employs a policy of random drug testing

This is a permanent job employed directly by the company and is not an Agency or Interim contract.

Pay: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
