Senior Rehabilitation Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Rehabilitation Assistant to work in the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Trafford hospital within the AHP Division.
You will be working as part of a dynamic, well-established, multidisciplinary team, alongside a Clinical Lead, experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. We promote close multidisciplinary team working allowing a holistic approach to patient care.
You will assist with the assessment and management of Elective Orthopaedic patients at the Trafford Elective Hub and work with a wide range of patients across the Day Surgery unit and the In-patient orthopaedic ward, as well as providing support to the pre-admission education groups.
As part of this Band 4 role you will contribute to service developments and quality improvement initiatives within the team. You will also be expected to assist with the day to day administrative duties of the team.
The Trust operates a 7 day and evening twilight service and all staff are expected to contribute.

To provide autonomous assessments and interventions, for own designated caseload of patients, who have routine clinical needs that follow agreed pathways of treatment.
To support patients with more complex needs with supervision and direction from qualified therapist.
To undertake administrative and stock control duties as requested to support the allied health professional services.
To contribute to the Twilight and weekend working rota.
To contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.
