**The Role**

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering an efficient and accurate payroll service for their employees and freelance staff.

Working within a complex timesheet-based payroll environment, you will manage a wide range of responsibilities, including processing hourly and weekly timesheets, handling amendments, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accurately input and process timesheet-based payroll data for a diverse workforce.
- Manage and verify overtime, adjustments, and variable pay elements.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of payslips, ensuring all deductions are accurate and timely.
- Support the Payroll Manager with year-end processes, including P11Ds and P60s.
- Respond to employee queries, providing clear and professional guidance on payroll matters.
- Contribute to the improvement of payroll systems and processes.

**About You**
- Experience in payroll processing, ideally in a timesheet-heavy environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Confident communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and managers.
- A proactive attitude, eager to solve problems and enhance payroll efficiency.
